Ozark Mountain Chapter is dedicated to preserving the history of our nation - from maintaining records and recognizing the events of the American Revolution, to supporting genealogical efforts. In our community, our chapter has worked specifically to identify the patriots of Greene and the surrounding counties of Southwest Missouri. We have marked the graves of these patriots and collected GPS coordinates for each location. We are also creating biographies for each area patriot, with members even studying the lives of these individuals to portray in first person. Beyond our community, our members are creating biographies of our their own patriot ancestors to contribute to the NSSAR national database.
